Evidence of Genetic Deception Creation Presentation on March 27th
At 7 pm. on Thursday, March 27th, there will be a 35 mm slide creation presentation for teens and adults in the Lions Club Building at the Central States Fairground. Our presenter for the evening will be Bob Wittstruck. The title of his presentation is “Evidence of Genetic Deception.” There will be a free will offering but no admission will be charged. This is a presentation which has never been shown to the public in the Black Hills area before. It gives a series of examples of intentional misrepresentations such as Nebraska Man and Piltdown Man. It also exposes the fallacies of assumptions regarding the evolution of living things by showing how they violate genetic laws. This presentation is the first of a series which will be presented at various locations in the Black Hills area. All the presenters will be members of the BHCSA board. We have decided to have this series because a number of you have asked us to do this. For it seems that while we have done quite a few creation seminars outside the local area, it has been quite a while since we had a presentation in the local area.
The Lions’ Club Building is across the street from the Central States Fair Office in the southwest corner of the fair ground. Just enter the gate across the street from the CSF office and head for the building with the Lions’ Club sign on it. Doors will be open at 6:30 p.m.
Summer Dino Digs
June 9 - 13 June 16 - 20 June 23 - 27 Russ and Tricia McGlenn are getting inquiries from a lot of states, especially on the East Coast, due to people finding us on the web. The dig is actually 12 miles north of Keldron (near Lemmon). They will be working with Stuart Schmidt of Grand River Museum in Lemmon. This dig location is about three and a half hours from Rapid City, and thirty minutes from a reservoir where there is boating and swimming. If you are interested, please contact the McGlenns soon at russmcglenn@juno.com. The fee for the Monday - Friday camp is $650 per family if you sign up before May 1st. Cutchin Family Loop Tour
Black Hills Creation Science Association board member and presenter Conrad Cutchin and his family recently conducted a loop tour of the United States as they delivered a scale-model of Noah's ark to Dr. Kent Hovind's Creation Science Evangelism ministry in Florida. They departed Hot Springs, South Dakota on August 29, 2002, providing numerous creation science presentations at numerous churches and organizations along the way. The Cutchin family returned on November 19, 2002, grateful to be home and with quite a story to tell. Here is Conrad's report:
How do you put the Glory of the Lord into our simple words? We thank the Lord for opening the doors and the highway to deliver Noah's Ark to Pensacola Florida. No, not the "real" Ark, but a scale model about 6' long to Brother Kent Hovind's ministry at Creation Science Evangelism headquarters and also known as Dinosaur Adventure Land. If you find it in your heart to visit Brother Hovind's museum, in addition to many wonderful exhibits, lessons, activities, and wonderful people, you'll see the Ark with a display sign from BHCSA. A life size Ark is still a vision we have!
Brother Hovind announced, via email, last July that we would be delivering the Ark to his museum and that we would be happy to share the creation message along the way. Our immediate response from people was overwhelming. What was suppose to be a 30-day trip straight to Pensacola, Florida, expanded into almost 90-days, 14,400 miles and through 39 states.
From South Dakota straight across the northern states up to Maine, down the east coast to the middle of Florida, back over to Arkansas, Texas and into southern Illinois, across the looong state of Kansas and into Colorado, Utah, Nevada and back to South Dakota via Idaho and Montana, the Lord brought many, many wonderful, Spirit-filled Christians into our paths and lives. We went to bless them and in turn were more blessed. Praise the Lord too, that some gave their hearts to Him through the creation message.
One special blessing was at our second stop. A very young girl had placed in the offering basket, an envelope, taped with duct tape. On the outside of it, it read, "Dear Mr. Cutchin, this may only be a quarter but I once read a book called every penny counts so I give this donation to you. My name is Priscilla Breininger. We didn't want to even spend the quarter at first, but then remembered, she gave it for the Lord. Thank you Priscilla and thank you Jesus for such a heart in this little girl.
We were blessed by so many people and we don't want to hurt anyone's feelings by thinking they were left out. This article isn't able to contain all the feelings, the names, the blessings that need to be expressed. We know God will bless each and every one who helped out in anyway to spread the creation/salvation message.
Another special note, however, is that in Virginia we started to have transmission problems. We were pulling a trailer too. The Lord carried us through down to Florida and back over to Utah where a very special family helped tremendously by allowing God to pour blessings through them to us and replace our transmission. It was a miracle that we pulled the trailer, loaded with equipment over the Rocky mountains with a transmission that the mechanic in Utah said was "burned up".
We know there are many more people that desire to have a creation speaker come to their area and we are working on scheduling another trip sometime this year. We all appreciate your prayers and pray a special blessing upon God's children that the light He has given us will radiate beyond our comfort zone.

The Foundational Role of the Doctrine of Creation
The doctrine of creation is the foundational doctrine of the Christian faith. For it says that one God, who has always existed, chose to create the heavens and the earth by His own divine plan, and was able to do so flawlessly and quickly because of His unlimited wisdom and power.
The doctrine of creation also says that when He had completed Creation, everything was good in His sight. And this means that all the kinds of living things and non living things were in place, fully developed, without flaw, and able to fulfill their purpose in the universe.
To say otherwise, to say that creation was flawed and incomplete, to say that it is still ongoing because it is limited by natural cause, is to undermine the unlimited wisdom and power of God. And this, of course, is what evolution does. It also undermines the very existence of a personal God with a divine plan. For evolution has no plan except for development by chance and accident.
As a result, evolution pictures for us a world of imperfect beings having no assigned purpose. For the power that brought them into existence was impersonal and directionless with no plan and no end in sight.
And this affects every other Christian doctrine. For it means that the only purpose we have in life is the one we choose to have, and there is no right and wrong, and truth is whatever we want it to be. It also means that Jesus could not have been unique. He could not have been the Son of God who came to save us from our sins. For there is no God. And that makes Jesus only a human just like the rest of us and unable to help us in any way. For a conscious Son of God seeking to redeem humanity cannot take place in a world formed by unconscious forces bringing things about by chance and accident to no end.
This means that since evolution is being aggressively promoted by all secular media outlets and worldly educational institutions, not only is the doctrine of creation under attack today, but all other Christian doctrines which are built upon that foundation. And this is happening right here in Rapid City. The children of Rapid City need to hear the evidence for creation and so does everyone else.
And with this being the case, it is very important for Christian churches to have ministries available which present evidence that defends the doctrine of creation, evidence which witnesses to God’s wisdom, sovereignty, power, and existence. For in defending creation we are defending the foundation that all the other doctrines are built on.

AMAZING DINOSAUR FIND
As I was reading in Science News magazine recently I came across a fascinating article entitled, “Dear Mummy: Rare Fossil reveals common dinosaur’s soft tissue”, Oct. 19, 2002; Vol. 162, No. 16.
Evolutionists are still scratching their heads in amazement over this latest find. This time it’s a “mummified” dinosaur. It was found not too far from here in Malta, Montana. More than 80 percent of this duck-billed dinosaur’s skin is intact. Not only that, but the contents of his stomach could still be analyzed to reveal what his last meal consisted of, a half-digested wad of 40 types of ferns, liverwort, and evergreen wood. HMMMM?!
The two-legged dinosaur, a young Brachylophosaurus, is the best preserved dinosaur found in the last 70 years. He has been nick-named LEONARDO. So what can we learn from this amazing find?
First, let’s talk more about what a “mummy” is and the science of making one. A mummy is simply a body whose soft tissue has been preserved through a process of embalming and removing all fluids immediately after death has occurred. The Egyptians were the first to turn the preservation of the body into a “science”. And it is still practiced today for any that would want to pay to have it performed.
Without prompt preparation of the body, decomposition begins to occur in just a few hours. So short of LEONARDO being prepared by an Egyptian taxidermist of the time, what other explanations might exist for his amazing preservation? “The sediments surrounding LEONARDO suggest that when the animal died, it fell onto a sandbar along an ancient river”, says paleontologist Nate Murphy of the Phillips County Museum in Malta. “It’s possible that minerals in the river infiltrated the dinosaur’s soft tissues, preserving them after the animal was buried in the riverbed, he notes.”
Evolutionists tend toward a belief that slow and gradual processes are what accounts for the fossils we find today. But would anything be left of LEONARDO if this were the case? The well preserved remains of this young dinosaur are with us today because the decomposition process was suspended, and then he was entombed in multiple layers of sand that turned into a hard sandstone. How quickly would this have had to happen you ask? You won’t find the answer by reading the Science News article.
True science, the science of observation, reveals that the digestion process continues even upon death. This process would destroy any evidence of what an animal had eaten within hours of death. A good veterinarian could verify the veracity of this statement. Instead the stomach contents of LEONARDO can clearly be seen , indicating that he had died and mummified in a relatively short time, possibly within minutes. A clear picture emerges of a catastrophe that resulted in his demise. There was nothing slow or gradual about what sealed his fate.
Creationists see this as yet another evidence substantiating the truth of the Scriptures. God plainly reveals to us there was a world wide catastrophic event that was unleashed that changed the face of the earth for all time. In geologic time, this would have been an instantaneous event. Not only did the fountains of the deep break open unleashing wave after wave of hydraulic fury, but we are told the mountains rose up and the oceans went down. It is revealed that God touched the mountains and they smoked (volcanoes). We also clearly see in the words of the rocks themselves the evidence of major folding, faulting , thrusting, slipping and sliding on a grandiose scale.
This is yet one more amazing, yet true, dinosaur find which can catch those wise in their own eyes and equipped only with worldly thinking unawares. Better that our wisdom, and our thinking in every area, is based upon the truth and veracity of God’s Word. We will find that true science will line up with that Word every time.
